The Haugabreen Glacier Walk

Want to join us for a tour to Haugabreen Glacier in Jølster? Stardalen is your starting point for a day trip to the glacier. An adventure for you who want to get close to the glacier, touch it and walk on it as well. You should have some experience with trail hiking and a minimun of physical condition for the one hour hike to the glacier. Usually we spend 2-3 hours on the glacier. We can choose different routs on the ice, depending on ice and snow condition.

Duration: 6-7 hours

Season: July- September

Level: Medium to hard (medium for people who are used to hiking in mountain terrain, and hard for people who are not used to hiking in mountain terrain).

Price: Minimumprice 5500,-( 4 person privat group. More then 4 persons - 990,-NOK each).

Minimun age : 12 years old

Equipment and clothing:

• good solid mountain boots

• clothing for a day in the mountains: insulating underwear/wool, wind/waterproof clothing

• thin gloves/mittens

• sunglasess/sunscreen

• thermos with warm beverage and lunch

• a small backpack (20-40 l)
