Mountain hike with fjord and glacier view

Nesahaugen is a mountain hike with a splendid fjord and glacier view. The starting point is Mundal, or 2 km south from Mundal, by Homrane. The first part is steep and mostly in a forest. We will pass an old summer farm at about 475 metres. Shortly after the old summer farm the path turns right. Now the path is a bit steep again. After 30- 40 min we will reach Nesahaugen, and finally enjoy the beautiful view. It is also time for lunch, before heading the same way back again.

Equipment and clothing:

• good solid mountain boots

• clothing for a day in the mountains: insulating underwear/wool, wind/waterproof clothing

• thin gloves/mittens

• sunglasess/sunscreen

• thermos with warm beverage and lunch

• a small backpack (20-40 l)
